Philosophy of Mind and Cognition

This seminar is devoted to current discussions in the philosophy of the cognitive sciences, philosophical psychology and philosophy of mind. We read and discuss research papers, including papers by the seminar’s lecturers,  on one or more topics such as embodied and embedded cognition, intentionality, enactive/dynamical  versus representational explanations in cognition, mechanistic versus law-based explanations or computation. The goal is to provide the student with an constructive but critical environment in which she or he can start developing a view on a contentious issue in the philosophy of mind and cognition.
